Shame On Me

I haven't made my way to a single gallery in town since late October. I'd planned to go out this past Wednesday, but weather and laziness conspired to scrap any and all plans.

Some others have been out and about a bit more recently than I...

There's a whole slew of openings tonight, primarily in River North, and Paul Klein has the lowdown over at Art Letter.

For a nice rundown from West Loop, Rarified Air brings the holiday goods. All appear to be up through at least the end of the month.

I haven't been out either. A friend and I were going to do Part I (the River North section) yesterday afternoon but there was a fire, and besides, it was cold and I didn't really wanna, and I didn't feel good anyway.

Off topic a bit, have you heard of any benefits that galleries or groups or artists are having for tsunami relief? I would be interested to know and possibly contribute.

It looks like it's going to take a miracle to get me out the door this week as well (busy, busy). Oh, well... it's looking like it'll be sub-zero temperatures (plus windchill) by Friday anyways, though West Loop would probably be bearable (mostly stairwells and hallways and what not).

I haven't.
